Mommy's girl
With her daddy's big brown eyes and dark hair, she may not look a thing like me, but there are times when the blond roots come shining through and there is no question whose girl she is.
"Why so sad, Reagan?" I ask as she skulks back in the house wearing her bathing suit.
"We can't play in the water now because it is raining."

Oh my! Sounds like something my oldest niece would say! lol
There are so many times the boys would be playing outside, and I would [jokingly] tell them to come in if it started raining because I didn't want them to get wet. I'd get "the look" from the oldest, the look that says "Mom you're so full of it."

Makes perfect sense to me. Though I prefer to think of it as wise, female logic. The kind our husbands don't understand and never will.
