I know, I know...

I really appreciate all the people have taken the time to point how much I suck at keeping this blog updated!

Things have been a bit hectic around here lately.

The deployment gremlins paid no mind to the fact that husband is home now and have continued to have wreak havoc on Casa d'Ikesters. Pneumonia, smoking vacuums, a weekend in the hospital and ongoing plumbing issues are just the tip of the iceberg for those bastards!

I do have lots of stories that make for great blog fodder. Though, none will be told today.

The plan for today is to stand in line at the post office. It's Christmas in February!! The rumor is THREE truck loads of mail destined for Aviano in early December have finally surfaced.

Now, we all now how the rumor mill can grind on base, so it could only be one truck, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was more.  I went by the post office twice yesterday and the line was just too long.

Personally, I don't mind standing in line. It is a part of living the military lifestyle. What I do mind is standing in line with a 2-year-old if it can at all be avoided.

So, today, the Canuck and I will take the little ones to the world's best childminder (she's British, they don't use the term babysitter), fuel up on coffee and wait patiently with half the base population for packages containing items we probably forgot we ordered.

Actually, it's easier for readers to keep up with you if you don't update very often. (At least that's what I tell myself.)

BTW, I LOVE the new look!!

Geesh chick...you'd think you could take 2 minutes to update us every day on your 'happenings'. Oh wait, I see you almost every day. Smirks. Although, I was unaware of exploding vacuums. I must be updated ASAP.

Man, you have a GREAT writing style! Even when posting about "blech" times (pneumonia, standing in post office line, post rumors), you had me reading from start to finish, and then reading more. I'll definitely be back.

I tagged you in a meme. I wasn't sure if you'd been tagged or not, though.
