World travelers

If they still stamped passports when one enters the different countries in the European Union, our girls would now have stamps from seven countries. Unfortunately, they don't. And, they are just going to have trust us on the number of countries they have visited especially since Reagan thinks "this country (Luxembourg) looks just like Germany."

The good news is that at 6 and 5 years of age, they are easily impressed. They are both convinced that I am multi-lingual since I was able to choke out enough German to have a brief conversation with the housekeepers at the hotel and order pastries at a Super Wal-Mart (yes, you read that right - a portion of our vacation was spent at a Super Wal-Mart in Germany) and put the four years of high school French to use at a roadside eatery in Luxembourg.

Add in the handful of Italian phrases I know and I am "like a superhero when it comes to talking in different countries." Did I mention McKinley is very easily impressed?

Hummm, pretty interesting that you were in a Walmart seeing as they didn't do a good business there in Germany and pulled out. Maybe you just saw the building and didn't really spend time there. Huhm?

Huh? When did Walmart pull out of Germany? We just lived in Germany for 3 years and there were 2 Walmarts in the town next to us that we were at often.

Heck, maybe I imagined shopping there for 3 years...

Sounds like lots of fun though! I wish we had more time to travel while we were there.

Maxz must be related to Val. What's up with the hateful, mean rude people?? I'm thinking Maxz is just jealous of our little world traveler's here.

I would love for my children to be as well traveled. Sounds like they had tons of fun!

Michelle, clearly your education was wasted as you obviously didn't read the store's sign correctly. You didn't know you weren't actually in a Super Wal-Mart. It was probably just a knock-off store that looked exactly like Wal-Mart. Yeah. That's it.

Where's an eye-rolling smiley when you need one?

Max must have nothing better to do.

Anyway. Moving on with life.. that's so cute about the girls! And how exciting that they've gotten to see so much. I sat with S. the other day, telling him which states he'd been too, and he was like, "What, that's all!?" lol Guess we need to get out more. Half of the US isn't enough, and he's only been out of the country once. He's got a long way to go to catch up to McKinley and Reagan!
