Sentenced
Taylor and I had to take a trip to the commissary today. And, as usual she had to have a box of cinnamon graham cracker sticks.
Usually, she just points at the box and grunts, but I get the message. Today, she pointed at the box and said "mine."
She kept a death-grip on them through the rest of the store, but cheerfully handed them to the cashier with a smile and an emphatic "mine." Somehow she was distracted, probably by the cashiers and baggers and their chorus of "bella bambina," and the sticks were put into the bag.
At home as I was unloading the groceries she caught sight of the box, reached down and plucked it out of the bag, looked me squarely in the eye and said "Dese mine. Tank you!" and toddled off with her box in hand.
Her first sentence, I fear, is a sign of things to come with this one.

Cute but isn't she a little old to just be saying her first sentence? Is she delaid? She is cute though.

I think it's been made painfully obvious who is actually DELAID.

The only thing delayed are your manners and class.
She's adorable, Michelle.

Is delaid a word? Really, is it that hard to use spellcheck? There's an option here. Too bad there isn't one for manners.
Taylor is right on par with where she should be. She is an absolute angel. And a girl who knows what she wants.

The only thing delayed here is your spelling capability. If you're going to insult someone, atleast do it correctly.
Frankly, 18 months is early to be talking in sentences. She's just adorable!

Get spell check and then rethink your comment.
I bet that just melted your heart, Michelle. She's so darn cute...and I love it when they start talking more and we can understand them!!

At least take solace in the fact she said 'tanks'. Determined, but grateful, seems like a good combination to me.

Kids develop at their own rate. My oldest was speaking sentences around 15-16 months old, my youngest is DELAYED (See? Take note.) due to a tongue issue and is only just now saying a few sentences here and there. He's almost 2.5.
Back to the cuteness at hand: That really made me smile. She's just precious, Michelle.
